Full Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Our Commitment to Quality

At Nicaragua Luxury Tours, we provide bespoke, high-end experiences that require significant advance coordination with private aviation, boutique estates, and specialized guides. This policy ensures we can maintain the highest standards of service while managing our commitments to local luxury partners.

2. The "Initial Purchase" Window

Guests are eligible for a tiered refund starting at 75% of the total booking cost, provided the cancellation occurs within three (3) days (72 hours) of the initial purchase.

  • The "Immediate Booking" Exception: If you book a tour that is scheduled to take place within 3 days of your purchase date, the booking is non-refundable immediately upon payment.

3. Tiered Refund Schedule

If you cancel within the 3-day purchase window (and your tour is not an "Immediate Booking"), the following refund percentages apply based on the time remaining before your scheduled departure:

Note: Once the initial 3-day purchase window has closed, the booking becomes non-refundable, regardless of the number of days remaining before the tour departure.

4. Exclusions & Non-Refundable Items

Certain high-end custom add-ons—such as private chartered flights, specific luxury villa deposits, or specialized event permits—may be 100% non-refundable from the moment of booking. These exceptions will be clearly highlighted in your specific itinerary or invoice.

5. Force Majeure (Unforeseeable Events)

Nicaragua Luxury Tours shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations if such failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Natural Events: Volcanic activity, earthquakes, landslides, floods, or hurricanes.

  • Civil & Political Events: Political instability, strikes, or government-imposed travel restrictions.

  • Infrastructure: Sudden closures of private estates or airport shutdowns.

In these events:

  • We reserve the right to alter itineraries or cancel tours for your safety.

  • While cash refunds may not be available, we will work to provide a Future Travel Credit valid for 12 months.

  • Any non-recoverable costs already paid to third-party vendors will be deducted from any credit or refund.

6. Weather, Safety & Itinerary Flexibility

Our former-first-responder heritage means your safety is never compromised.

  • Modifications: We reserve the right to modify itineraries based on real-time weather, sea states, or volcanic activity.

  • Alternatives: If a specific activity is canceled due to safety, we will provide an alternative high-value experience of equal interest. No partial refunds are issued if a suitable alternative is provided.

7. Travel Insurance Recommendation

Because of the specialized nature of luxury travel, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. Your policy should ideally include "Cancel for Any Reason" (CFAR) coverage to protect your investment against unforeseen personal emergencies or travel delays.

8. How to Request a Cancellation

All requests must be submitted in writing via email to dean@nicaragualuxurytours.com. The timestamp of your email will be used to determine your eligibility and refund tier. Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 10 business days.
